SECOND NETWORKING.
Looking for a place to do some networking, I visit a body paint gallery at DeLand County. There, I met a famous makeup artist named Lillian. After talking about her experience, I learned that she participates in some body paint competition. She went to the same Make-up Institute that I will be attending on September. One of her main works at Make-up Designory Institute was painting a model in front of an audience, while explaining what color or materials she’s using and the techniques to paint the pattern that’s she’s creating. The art work was about animal camouflage combine with industrial evolution.
I was surprise about how much she accomplished in so little time. She told me that with perseverance and a lot of dedication for the work she is doing. As same as always,creating something new and extremely extraordinarytakes time, creativity and patience.
I told her that I’m going to be studying at the same make-up school she went to do a Masters in SFX Makeup. She was very please and told me some advices. She even wanted me to show her my art work and made somerecommendation. She also advises me about the special effects make-up artist industry and hints about what professionals look to hire an artist like me.
She showed me lots of stuff and because of her, I feel more confident of going to New York to MUD (Makeup Designory Institute), to be challenge and become a successful artist.
