  1. What makes you and your work unique?
    • We began the first ever choir, in the area to take singer from all different backgrounds and schools to come together and create music.
  2. Do you have a brand or artist statement?
    • Yes. Our brand is to Enriching lives one note at a time.
  3. Do you have a mission vision?
    • Yes, “The mission of the Pensacola Children’s Chorus is to provide quality music education and performance to include both classical choral training and musical theatre to enrich the lives of children from all religious, racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Through its musical activities, the Pensacola Children’s Chorus helps to foster the personal and social growth of its members and promotes their sense of self-esteem, accomplishment, and pride.”
  4. Do you have career goals laid out for the next 5-10 years?
    • Yes. We hope that the new artistic director continues to grow what we began almost thirty years ago.
  5. What do you do and what are you doing?
    • We are currently retired for directing. We do workshops and conferences all around the country, as well as continue to write music.
  6. How are you connecting and building audiences and how do you market to them?
    • We worked with children, so we connect with their schools, and parents. We connect with the local news studio, and newspaper to advertise for all the productions.
  7. What opportunities are you on the lookout for?
    • We hope that our alumni grow as performers, and everyday people as well has watched the program we started grow and make us proud.
  8. Did you look at someone else’s career to make a path for your own and if so, what was it? 
    • No. We were both teachers, singers, and wrote music. We wanted to create a program that would change young singers lives and be around for many years to come.
  9. How do you fund your work?
    • We fund our work from tuition from members, as well as many sponsors and donors.
  10. How did you initially get funding? 
    • We received a loan to begin our vision. From there we got sponsor who would help fund our program.
  11. What networks or organizations do you belong to and which ones have helped you the most?
    • Best of the Coast, Chorus America, American Choral Directors Association, Florida Vocal Association, Florida Music Education Association, American for the Arts.
